I am so excited to serve the students, staff, and community of Valley-Edinburg School District as superintendent; our district's vision is to become the present and future of excellent rural education, and I believe we have everything it takes to become just that. We have an outstanding staff and a forward-thinking school board and community, determined to accomplish this goal each and every day.

After eleven years of teaching high school English at Park River Area School in Park River, North Dakota, I found an opportunity to become a part-time English teacher, part-time principal in neighboring Valley-Edinburg School District for the 2020-2021 school year. When the chance to assume the superintendency opened, I pursued the opportunity, one that I am grateful to have today.

I graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, in 2009 with my bachelor’s degree in English Education; five years later, in 2014, I graduated from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota, with my master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in English. In the fall of 2019, I began work on my Educational Specialist degree from Concordia St. Paul. This degree allowed me to become credentialed in Elementary Principalship in North Dakota. I finished my superintendent credential at NDSU in the summer of 2021.

I live in Hoople, North Dakota, with my husband, David, and our two kids, Harper and Holden. Harper is a second grader and Holden is a kindergartener at Hoople Elementary School.
